
Video Production (for OHS students)

The Video Production Pathway is part of Overland High School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings, and take place in the Pathways at Overland building. Student will register for the CTE Pathway courses through the high school registration process.
These audio and video production courses introduce students to the television, film, and digital media industry, providing hands-on experience with professional equipment and software. Students participate in all stages of production, including pre-production planning, filming, multi-camera shoots, and post-production editing, with a focus on TV studio broadcasting, news production, and narrative storytelling. Advanced coursework allows students to practice screenwriting, storyboarding, set design, green screen effects, and the creation of original projects tailored to their interests and career goals.
Skills Developed
Through these courses, students develop technical proficiency with industry-standard software and equipment, advanced filming and editing techniques, and visual storytelling skills. They also strengthen collaboration, project management, problem-solving, and creative thinking, preparing them for post-secondary education and careers in audio, video, television, film, and digital media production.
