About Pathways at Overland

A New Approach to College & Career Preparedness & Success
Pathways at Overland is a stand-alone college and career preparedness facility accessible for high school students in the Cherry Creek Schools. With curriculum rooted in real-world skills and trade certifications ranging from the computer sciences to aviation to health sciences, this facility offers students a new kind of bridge to college and viable, successful careers.
Pathways at Overland is geared toward students who…
- Want to go to college. These students are looking for concurrent enrollment or dual enrollment opportunities to earn credit towards a college degree. These students could also be looking to learn a skill set or trade to help pay for college.
- Want to go right into the workforce or military after high school. These students want to learn a skill set or trade that will make them more competitive for career preparedness.
- Are unsure of what they want to do after high school. These students want to further explore their interests and skill sets to enhance their college and career preparedness.
Participating students continue to earn diplomas from their home high schools. Students attend Pathways at Overland every other day during a morning or afternoon session, with transportation provided to and from each high school.
Under the Career and Technical Education umbrella, Pathways at Overland expands CCSD's commitment to preparing students for the academic and professional demands of the 21st century. The student learning experience mimics state-of-the-art work environments, with a focus on putting learners in an industry based culture and climate.
High schools continue to host a wide range of CTE programs. This new facility enhances current programming, and is home to more advanced and sophisticated educational opportunities for students.

Administration Message - Sybil Booker & Cary Reed

At Cherry Creek Pathways at Overland, each student brings unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives that enrich our learning community. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where all students see themselves reflected in the curriculum, classroom culture, and career pathways we offer. We recognize that access and opportunity are essential to equity—so we intentionally design our programs to remove barriers and ensure that each learner has a meaningful pathway of purpose. Whether students are exploring healthcare, technology, culinary arts, or criminal justice and law, we strive to connect their cultural identities and lived experiences to real-world applications and future careers.

As educators and leaders, we are committed to honoring the diverse voices of our students, families, and community partners. We work collaboratively to provide culturally relevant learning experiences that foster confidence, leadership, and a sense of purpose. By promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment, we prepare our students not only for college and careers but also for active, compassionate participation in a global society. Together, we are building a future where every learner thrives and contributes their authentic self to the workforce and beyond.
